Thanks to the mild, Mediterranean climate and the thermal springs, Merano has become an exclusive and renowned health resort at the beginning of the 20th century. The Merano Music Weeks – an internationally renowned Premium festival for the past 30 years. From the end of August to the end of September, renowned artists present their music in the amazing Art Nouveau Kursaal hall. The programme includes varied styles - from classic to cross-over.

Merano WineFestival

A must for all those who love the good taste of wine. The Merano WineFestival in November has long advanced to a gastronomical highlight. More than 450 international wine producers present their specialties, which are accompanied by the best of Italian delicacies within the framework of the Merano Culinaria event.

Asphaltart

The yearly street festival Asphaltart is a colourful, joyful and acrobatic outdoor festival. Clowns, dancers, music and artists from all over the world turn the streets of Merano into a magical and peculiar show and fun ground. An unforgettable experience for old and young!

Törggele time – moments of pleasure

Golden autumn in Merano

Surrounded by colourful natural scenery, a pleasant atmosphere, and the unique culinary autumn delights, Merano awaits you with grapes, apples and chestnuts. Traditional "Törggelen" with new wine and chestnuts in one of the numerous inns is an ancient tradition. The Merano Grape Festival in autumn provides a gastronomical and musical highlight.
